Survey Team

Four Santa Clara University professors launched the SCU Business Index to provide an assessment of business conditions in Silicon Valley by business leaders. The Index differs from ordinary consumer sentiment survey in several ways. Among these are its focus on a survey population limited to those holding managerial and executive positions within organizations in Silicon Valley, its inquiry into future business conditions, and those of the respondent's customers. The original team has been joined by faculty analysts from SCU's Economics and Finance departments : Mario Belotti, professor of economics; Bob Hendershott, associate professor of finance; and Kris Mitchener, assistant professor of economics.
