Concentration in Food & Agribusiness 

The Food & Agribusiness Institute offers a concentration within the MBA program that prepares students for management positions in the food and agricultural industries. Additionally, students are encouraged to enhance their coursework with any of the enrichment programs offered by the Institute including internships, field trips, conferences, and a mentor program.

The concentration in Food & Agribusiness consists of two required and two elective courses, described below.

  • MGMT 540 - Social, Political, and Legal Environment of Food and Agribusiness Firms
  • FNCE 474 Risk Management with Derivative Securities

Elective Courses (select two from the following menu)
  • ACCT 698, ECON 698, FNCE 698, MKTG 698, MGMT 698, or OMIS 698 - Independent Research (This course must be on a topic approved by the Director of the Food and Agribusiness Institute)
